DATABASE MANAGEMENT ANALYST

The database management analyst will serve the Allen Community Senior Citizens Centers in management of systems used by the NYC Department for the Aging (DFTA) to the sufficient upkeep of our centers stats and confidential digital documentation. In the role, the requirements include maintenance, quality-control and reporting for major data systems, including STARS. The analyst would update participant data in line with specific requirements put forth by DFTA. In addition, the analyst would provide requested information (including phone numbers, data, reports, etc.) to DFTA related to any ongoing emergency situations.

ASTP Driver

Transport elderly clients to and from various destinations including senior center, shopping, and local trips. • Assisting the participants on and off the bus; assist with their packages (within reason) • Ensure the safety of the passengers using seat belts, wheelchair tie downs, and other safety devices. • Complete daily passenger logs and maintain accurate records. • Collect and record participant contributions. • Keep vehicle clean and in good condition. • Inspect vehicle daily and report any operational or structural defects immediately. • Pickup and return vehicle to parking lot daily. • Adhere to emergency procedures when necessary. • Report all accidents immediately to supervisor. • Perform other duties as required by Supervisor.

Counselor

The Part-Time Counselor (PTC) will work under the supervision of the Allen Women’s Resource Center Social
Work Supervisor. The PTC will provide crisis intervention services to domestic violence victims and their
families. The PTC will be expected to learn and integrate a trauma-informed, client-centered approach in
working with clients and will be responsible for establishing and overseeing shelter operations overnight and
during the weekend, and during the day and night shifts on weekends.

Child Care Specialist/Caseworker 

The Child Care Specialist will work under the supervision of the Social Work Supervisor. The Child Care Specialist/Case Worker will assist in providing crisis intervention services to domestic violence victims and their families. The Child Care Specialist/Case Worker will be expected to learn and integrate a trauma-informed, client-centered approach in working with families and will be primarily responsible for overseeing AWRC’s childcare services, including infant and childcare, and summer camp activities. The Child Care Specialist/Case Worker will develop and implement an appropriate curriculum for childcare and recreational programs to ensure that education and supportive services are provided in a structured environment. Secondarily, the Child Care Specialist/Case Worker will assist the Case Manager in implementing a plan of care for each family in the shelter. This position will require in-person interaction with families.

Program Director

The Allen Community Senior Citizens Center’s (ACSCC) mission is to programmatically serve the senior population in the community through the provision of a variety of comprehensive services that meet the nutritional, recreational, educational, informational and other needs of the program participants in a caring and sensitive manner. The following list of duties is intended only to describe the various types of work that may be performed and the level of technical complexity of the assignment(s) and is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties.

Data Entry Clerk/Driver

The Transportation Data Entry Clerk/Driver of the Allen Transportation Program will be responsible for scheduling transportation for the senior population of the Allen Senior Transportation Program in the Southeast Jamaica Queens community. This includes transportation to a variety of locations including senior centers, service agencies, recreational activities, and to medical or other essential appointments. As needed, back-up driver assignments will be expected.

Family Service Coordinator

The Family Service Coordinator will work under the supervision of the AWRC’s Social Work Supervisor. The Family Service Coordinator will provide crisis intervention services to survivors of intimate partner violence and their families. The Family Service Coordinator will be expected to learn and integrate a trauma-informed, client-centered approach in working with clients and will support members of the Social Service staff in providing services for parents and children. He/she provides childcare when needed and actively engages with the families. The Family Service Coordinator will be responsible for organizing and leading recreational activities for parents and children and would provide after-school support. This position will require in-person interaction with families.
