Thank you for attending the Brain & Alzheimer’s Awareness seminar on Sunday, June 11. We want to thank our guest speakers, Dr. Christiane Reitz, Dr. Sakina Ouedraogo Tall, Jackie Lopez, and moderator, Rodeena Stephens. We extend a special appreciation to Paula Rice who shared her experience as a former caregiver.
All presenters shared important information that offered insight that will help caregivers and others interested in the impact of Alzheimer’s disease have a better understanding of this disease. According to research conducted by the Alzheimer’s Association, an estimated 6.7 million Americans aged 65 and older are living with Alzheimer's in 2023. By 2050, this number is projected to rise to nearly 13 million. Unfortunately, there is no cure for Alzheimer’s disease. It is our prayer that the resources provided will enable you to get the help and support that you need.
As promised, the Brain & Alzheimer’s Awareness seminar is here to view. Please view and share the link with others who are caring for loved ones that are living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
If you would like to receive further information regarding support for caregivers, or a loved one who is suffering from Alzheimer’s, send an email to Jacki Lopez, jlopez@alz.org. You may also contact the Alzheimer’s 24/7 Helpline, (800) 272-3900.
Thank you once again for joining us. We pray and trust that one day there will be a cure for Alzheimer’s. Until then, we pray that God continue to strengthen, and sustain you during this season.
