Scholarship Application

The Security Ministry of the Greater Allen Cathedral is now accepting applications for 2021 Scholarship Program for College-Bound,
High School Seniors.
Applicants must be active members of the Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral for the past 3 years and meet all the requirements on the application form; serve in one of the youth ministries and plan to attend college in the fall of 2021. Competitive applicants have a minimum, cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 (4.0 scale) OR a minimum numerical average of 83%. Applications must be received no later than Sunday, June 13, 2021 and include all the completed and signed application form; copies of the student’s HS transcript, SAT/ACT scores and letter of college acceptance; two written essays and two letters of recommendation. Applicant must

Be an active member of the Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral for at least 3 years (January 2018 to the present).

Applicant must list their service in ministry.

Be a high school senior graduating by June 2021.

Have a minimum, cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale OR a minimum numerical average of 83 on a 1-100 scale.

Have received an acceptance letter from a college or university for Fall 2021.

Be available for a face to face or videoconference interview.

Women's Prayer & Fasting Ministry
The Prayer & Fasting Ministry is one of the most important spiritual components of the Women’s ministry. This Ministry commits to fasting and praying for every aspect of the Women’s Season. The Prayer & Fasting Ministry is dedicated to intercessory prayer for our Leadership, Supervising Chairpersons and their committees, the Women’s Conference, Conference Speakers, Special Events, women’s health issues, and other concerns of the Women’s Ministry.
During this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, we understand that there is a greater need for praying and fasting on behalf of our sisters, our church, our family, our church leaders, our community, our city, our state and our nation.
The Prayer & Fasting Ministry is committed to fasting two days a week (Monday, Thursday, and any 3rd day chosen by individuals) for Women’s Season. We welcome you to pray and fast alongside us throughout Women’s Season.
