I greet you with a heartfelt praise and in joyous expectation as we look to Women’s Conference 2008. Indeed, God is good and greatly to be praised. This year marks a milestone in the history of the Women’s Ministry of Allen, as we celebrate our twenty fifth conference anniversary. It was in 1983 that the women of Allen came together to sponsor our first conference. The theme was: Power of Woman—Creating a Global Vision through Christ and over four hundred women gathered at a New York City hotel to experience Christ in new and liberating ways. Since then, we have continued to call women together to affirm our personhood and position in Christ, and we are pleased to say that the Women’s Ministry of Allen has been one of the most powerful and life-changing ministries in the nation. Not only have we experienced some of the most anointed and profound female preachers and presenters in the world, over the last twenty five years we have been empowered, enlarged and encouraged beyond comprehension. I think that thousands will testify that it was at the women’s conferences that we received divine direction, correction, and revelation, and we came to understand that the hand of God was upon us and we could never be the same again. We had been oppressed, but left enlightened. We were afraid to move, but came to know that change was the only option. We believed that we were weak and helpless, but through God-ordained preaching and teaching, the Lord told us that we were strong, full of potential and overrunning with purpose. We will forever praise God for what God did in us when we came together in the name of Jesus. And so, I invite you to join us April 17-19, 2008, when we will assemble again at the Philadelphia Marriott to offer ourselves to God for a divine soul-lifting, heart-mending and mind-renewing experience. I believe with all of my heart that this will be an extraordinary and significant event in kingdom history and I trust that you will make every effort to be there. Our theme this year, Forever My Praise, expresses our gratitude for God’s commitment to our growth, deliverance and inner healing, and we are anticipating a major Holy Spirit outpouring that is sure to birth us into new dimensions of power, purpose and possibility.
